Rena Isen, Psy.D.

Dr. Rena Isen is a licensed psychologist based in Nashville, Tennessee. Her wealth of experience in a wide variety of settings is what sets her apart. For years, she has done forensic evaluations with individuals who are considered to be the most dangerous in Tennessee. 

She has worked in psychiatric hospitals as well as in multiple prisons on the federal and state level, providing therapy and risk assessments to incarcerated adults and juveniles. In addition, Dr. Isen has trained professionals working in mental health, corrections, and law enforcement on topics that promote just and compassionate treatment of individuals with mental illness, such as appropriate screening, therapeutic communication, therapeutic boundaries, trauma informed care, racial trauma, diversity in mental health, handling crisis situations, and providing access to resources. 

Dr. Isen is known for being compassionate and empathetic. She was raised by a social worker and a firefighter, so she has a deep passion for helping others, especially those in underserved populations.
